This section shows all the devices that have been added to the profile.All devices are grouped by the following types: Metering devices, Gateways and Base stations.

Metering devices are meters, sensors and other devices that measure, accumulate, store and display information on the resource consumed and the status of sensors.

Sensors are devices designed to measure, alarm, adjust, and control devices or processes.

Gateways are devices that transmit data between metering devices and the server using wired and wireless channels (Data Acquisition and Transmission Devices, modems, converters, etc.).

Base stations are devices that transmit data from metering devices and gateways to the server using LoRaWAN technology. The following functions are also available in the Devices section:

• Add a new device
• Manage balance groups
• Acquisition card
• Archived devices
• Groups
• Import/Export

Managing the list of devices.

Search and sorting is available for each type of device.

Search. To search, enter the text in the appropriate line and press the Enter key or the button with the magnifying glass image.

Sort is for sorting. Click on the name of any column by which you want to sort the list.

The set of displayed columns can be customized. To do so, click on the gear icon and check/uncheck the boxes.

This setting is saved for the user.

The number of entries per page is limited. 10 devices are displayed by default. To change the number of records, select a different value from the drop-down list.

Additional filters are available by resource type, as well as by model and status for the Metering Devices tab:

• Click on the corresponding button above the list of devices to apply filter by resource type.

• To filter by model or status, click on the icon next to the column name and select the metering device model or status you are interested in from the drop-down list.

List of metering devices/sensors.

The list of metering devices and sensors has the following columns:

Active (Toggle switch) that allows you to activate or deactivate the device. Changes that occur during deactivation:

• Device polling is disabled (when polling is initiated by the server).
• Messages from the device are not saved (when the device itself sends data).
• The device is not counted in “Acquisition card”.
• Creation of polling tasks and additional follow-up of missing data is disabled

If no data is received from the device in the system for more than 3 months such a device is deactivated automatically. If such a device is activated, the system will re-check the validity of the status after 1 day.

ID is a unique identifier of the device in the system. It must be reported when contacting technical support (to speed up the problem search).

Name is the name of the metering device or sensor that was set when it was “Adding”.

Model is the brand and model of the base station of a particular manufacturer.

Status indicates the status of the metering device, which characterizes the presence of communication with the device. The status depends on the selected device activity timeout, which is set when it was “Adding”.

If the device does not show signs of activity for a time equal to 1.5 of the polling period, the status changes to “Offline”.

Date\time of last activity is the date and time when the device last contacted (sent a message with data or status, as well as responded to a request from the server).

Charge is the battery charge of the metering device, sensor or gateway to which this device is connected.

If the metering device, sensor or gateway does not have a built-in battery, then this field will be empty.

Address is the address of the metering entity to which the device is linked.

MP (for metering devices) is the name of the metering point to which the device belongs.

Context menu is the menu where the following actions with the device are available:

• “Metering point certificate” presents full information on the device, its gateway, metering point, polling parameters, control panel, attributes, etc.
• Data allows to view data on the metering device or sensor.
• Add to Favorites/Remove from favorites are actions with the metering device in the “Favorites”
• Poll allows to run a command to poll the selected parameters (for metering devices of Class C and B)
• Device logs allows to view raw messages when exchanging data with a metering device, gateway or sensor.
• Edit allows to change the settings and properties of the metering device or sensor.
• Move to Archive allows the metering device or sensor to be moved to archive.
• Delete allows to delete the meter or sensor.

List of gateways.

ID is a unique identifier of the device in the system. It must be reported when contacting technical support (to speed up the problem search).

Name is the name of the gateway that was set when it was “Adding”.

Model is the brand and model of the gateway of a particular manufacturer.

Status indicates the status of the gateway, which characterizes the presence of communication with the device. The status depends on the selected polling period of the device, which is set when it was “Adding”. If the device does not show signs of activity for a time equal to 1.5 of the polling period, the status changes to “Offline”.

Signal strength is the signal strength of gateways transmitting data using LoRaWAN technology. Measured as a percentage of the RSSI indicator:

• — 30 RSSI — 100%
• — 120 RSSI — 0%

SNR is a signal-to-noise ratio. The indicator should be greater than +5.

 

Address is the address of the accounting object to which the gateway is linked.

Context menu is a menu where the following actions with the gateway are available:

• Data allows to view data on the base station.
• Tasks/Device logs allows to view technical logs of data exchange with the gateway.
• Edit allows to сhange the settings and properties of the base station.
• Move to Archive allows to move the base station to archive.
• Delete is for deleting the gateway.

List of base stations.

ID is a unique identifier of the device in the system. It must be reported when contacting technical support (to speed up the problem search).

Name is the name of the base station, which was set when it was “Adding”.

Model is the brand and model of the base station of a particular manufacturer.

Status is the status indicator of the base station, which characterizes the presence of a base station connection. If the device does not transmit data to the server within 5 minutes, the status changes to Offline.

Station ID is the IMEI of the base station assigned during its setup.

Last Activity Date is the date and time of the last message from the base station.

Coverage area — the area of operation of the base station specified when it was created (in meters).

Context menu — menu where the following actions with the base station are available:

• Data — view data on the base station.
• Edit – сhange the settings and properties of the base station.
• Move to Archive — “Archiving” the base station.
• Delete — Delete the base station.
