Viewing device data

To view the device data, it is necessary to do the following:

1. Go to the “Devices” section.

2. Select the device type: “Metering devices, Gateways or Base stations”. To do so, click on the appropriate tab.

3. Find the device in the list for which you want to view the data. To do so, you can use the search bar and filter a device by resource type.

4. Click the line with the device to view the latest readings and summary information (available only for metering devices).

5. To view all readings on the device, click the context menu and select “Data”. Period selection and grouping.

The period is set to 7 days by default.

To select another period, specify the dates in the “From” and “To” fields and click the “Show” button.
Dates can be entered manually or selected in the calendar by clicking on the corresponding icon to the right of the date. There are restrictions for the period and they depend on the selected grouping:

  • Without grouping is 93 days (3 months);
  • By the hour is 31 days (1 month);
  • By day is 186 days (6 months);
  • By week is 186 days (6 months);
  • By month is 365 days (1 year);
  • By year is 1825 days (5 years)

If the grouping is not selected, all messages with readings in the selected period are displayed.
If grouping is set, only the latest messages of each period are displayed.The grouping type may differ for different tabs:

  • For the power profile, you can set the period: 30 minutes and 60 minutes;
  • For archives, you can choose: hourly, daily, monthly, etc. (depends on what parameters the meter supports).

Data types.

Depending on the manufacturer and model of the meter, the data can be divided into several tabs.

“Readings” are accumulated values of metering devices for one or more tariffs;

“Power profile” (for electric meters) is average 30 or 60 minute consumption of electric energy;“Instantaneous readings” (for electric meters) are values of voltage, amperage, frequency, etc.“Archives” are meter readings at the end of the period (hour, day, month), that includes integral archives, as well as average values and consumption values for the period (hour, day, month); “Event log” means an event log of electric meters;“Polling log” means events related to the polling and management of the metering device;“Alarms” means extraordinary (alarming) messages from metering devices and sensors;

“Service information” means parameters of communication channels and device interfaces;“Background information” is additional information about metering devices;Chart.

There are two main options for graphically displaying data, which are a chart and a Histogram. To switch between them, click on the corresponding icon to the right of the graph.

Above the graph are the names of the parameters that are displayed on it. Each of these parameters can be hidden. To do this, click on the name of the parameter.

Changes are saved for the user.

There is a slider under the graph that allows you to shorten the selected period for a more detailed display of data.

The graph can be downloaded in JPEG format. To do this, click on the corresponding icon to the right of the graph. For electricity meters (for electricity quality parameters), data viewing is available as diagrams. To do this, go to the “Instant readings” tab and activate the “Vector Graph” toggle switch.By default, charts are built based on data from the last message. To plot diagrams based on another message, it must be selected in the table.

Table.

By default, the data in table is sorted by the date and time the message was received (time on the device) in descending order (the most recent message on top). In order to sort by another column, you need to click on the name of this column. To hide columns with data or show those that are hidden by default, you need to click on the gear icon and check/uncheck the boxes.

The changes are applied to all devices of the selected meter model and are saved for the user.

The number of entries per page is limited. 10 messages are displayed by default.  To change the number of records, select a different value from the drop-down list. For electricity meters, it is possible to view data taking into account the transformation coefficients and the loss coefficient, which are set in “the metering point”. To do this, you need to set the appropriate checkboxes.In the “Data” section the transition to the “Management” of the device is available.
